Models, costumes, and live arthropods!!! Learn adaptations for survival such a mimicry, camouflage, armor, and the use of venom. Suitable for children 5 kindrgarten and older. Programs are FREE and last about an hour.

BOWDOIN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL COMMUNITY CONCERT at the BAILEY ISLAND COMMUNITY CHURCH.
FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT by students from the BOWDOIN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL at the Bailey Island Community Church ((on Rte. 24), 2141 Harpswell Islands Rd. Bailey Island). The Orr’s Island Library is hosting these musicians for our fourth year. This free concerts offers an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of music in an historic venue. As part of the Community Concert series, these musicians engage with audiences and widen their reach and identify entrepreneurial ways to interact and grow through music. The concert will be followed by a reception with refreshments and an opportunity to visit with the musicians. Introduction at 1:45 PM.

An introduction to birds and mammals. Costumes and specimens show special adaptations. Chewonki’s Mallard Duck and a surprise mammal will delight all ages! Suitable for children 5 kindrgarten and older. Programs are FREE and last about an hour.

Local historian and fact filled genealogist, Gerry York, will talk aobut local island history. Nobody knows it better!

ORR’S ISLAND LIBRARY ANNUAL BOOK SALE & FAIR. See you at Sylvester Field at Lowell’s Cove for our annual book sale, 10AM- 2 PM each day. This is an OIL major fundraiser and great fun. Books, DVDs, CDs, Puzzles, White Elephant, lunch, bake sale, raffle, activities for kids. FAIR events on AUGUST 7 only.
