THIRD ANNUAL BOWDOIN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL COMMUNITY CONCERT AT THE BAILEY ISLAND COMMUNITY CHURCH (NOTE LOCATION CHANGE)
FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT by students from the BOWDOIN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL at the Bailey Island Community Church ((on Rte. 24), 2141 Harpswell Islands Rd. Bailey Island). The Orr’s Island Library is hosting these musicians for our third year. This free concerts offers an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of music in an historic venue. As part of the Community Concert series, these musicians engage with audiences and widen their reach and identify entrepreneurial ways to interact and grow through music. The concert will be followed by a reception with refreshments and an opportunity to visit with the musicians.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1 beginning at 10 AM we have a bake sale and later in the day we have a hot lunch for sale.

Lauren Abbey Greenberg, author of “The Battle of Junk Mountain” will have a table at the sale to sell and sign her books. She is an award-winning scriptwriter/producer and a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature.
Lauren lives in MD & has spent summers in Maine for 20 years. Her book is loosely based on her time in Maine. Its about a hoarder, protecting memories, and intergenerational relationships.
If other local authors are interested in setting up a table at the sale, please contact the library.
