The Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference.

You can access this wide collection of digital information from your computer if you are in the state of Maine.  When logging in you will need to let The Digital Maine Library use your location.

Once you are logged in, you can decide the best online resource for your needs. You can choose Subject, Resource Type, or Audience – or a combination of two or three.

For Example:

Select the Audience Elementary and only those resources appropriate for K-5 will remain on the page.  Click the tag Elementary, and you get a bookmarkable page with resources for that audience.

Select the Subject History and you will narrow your list to the resources focused on history.

Select the Resource Type Newspapers and find all resources that include newspapers.

An alphabetical index of all the databases can be accessed by clicking A-Z link in the top navigation.  An A-Z list with descriptions is available at:

Give these resources a try next time you need information!
